    The boys basketball team got the first opportunity to practice free-throw shooting in the new gym Friday afternoon. The boys face Litchfield in Subsection 6AA play at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's University.

    Senior Zach Blonigen made it to the medal stand at the state wrestling tournament Saturday. The 120 pound senior lost his first match, won his next two and then lost his last two to place sixth.

      Sixteen students representing grades 5-8 competed in the district spelling been which took place Feb. 6 in the high school media center.
